Carolyn Leonard is an intervention specialist who worked for Boardman Local Schools, in Boardman, Ohio for 30 years as a classroom teacher.
She earned both her undergrad and master's degrees in Special Education from Youngstown State University. During her career, Carolyn received the Franklin B. Walter Outstanding Educator Award from the Ohio Department of Education and the Golden Apple Award from the North East Ohio Special Education Regional Resource Center. She was also an adjunct instructor for Ashland University in Ohio and gave professional development in-services through NEOSERRC to help teachers understand and support students with special needs. Carolyn lives in Ohio with her husband and amazing son with special needs, and looks forward to visits from her gifted New York photographer daughter.
